Jack Mayo
Chief Avid Evangelist
(president - managing partner) As
founder of Avid, Jack Mayo brings almost twenty years of industry experience
to his leadership role. Jack is responsible for the overall strategy and
vision of the firm as well as leading the company’s Product Management and
Marketing functions. Prior to founding Avid, Mayo was Division President,
for InfoCure (now VitalWorks Corp.), where he led the Anesthesia Products
Group (MSI) to an industry leading position building the largest anesthesia software
customer base in the nation. Having held senior
roles in product development, support, training, sales, and general
management with various healthcare
organizations focused
on billing and practice management solutions, the creation
of Avid was thenext logical progression. With almostten years
focused in one specialty, his passion is clearly the anesthesia marketplace.
Throughout his career, Mayo has also
held management
roles with non-healthcare,
technology focused
firms such as J.D. Edwards
Corporation (now PeopleSoft) and Computone Corporation (now Multi-User
Systems). Mayo is an honors graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology with a
B.S. degree in Computer Science and Information Management.
Jeff Teasdale
Chief Architect
- Technology and Client Service
(vice-president – partner)
As a co-founder, Jeff Teasdale brings over fifteen years of
industry specific product development and client service experience to
Avid. Jeff is responsible for the overall selection and implementation of
technology and client service solutions for Avid and its customer
base. Jeff’s background includes key management positions as Vice President
of Research and Development for Infocure Corporation (now VitalWorks) and
further served as Director of Client Services for their
Anesthesia Group (MSI) through the closing of their Atlanta office. Having
earned the respect of hundreds of anesthesia practice managers, quality
programmers, and technical support personnel, Jeff was a hand-picked choice
for his current role with Avid. Teasdale balances his tenure in the
healthcare industry byholding
leadership roles in other technology
based healthcare
organizations such as;
InfoLogic (now PracticeWorks – Kodak), Gerber Alley, and
International Computer Systems. Teasdale holds a B.B.A. in CIS from Georgia
State University.
